I talked before about why this project had flagged in a post several months ago and the challenges facing it going forward.
What had initially excited me, the idea that quality blogs can be curated, socially bolstered, and that the rising tide would raise all ships was validated. Of course, those challenges I detailed earlier proved to be sufficient to get me to abandon the project.
In the meantime, I’ve been trying to practice the art of making things happen. Here’s a post over at Online MBA about that idea. I have a lot of friends who are able to do this. At times, I can do a good job of it, but compared to those who do it as naturally as they breathe, I have a ways to go.
So that’s why this little project came to an end. I got an idea, tried to make it happen, took it a ways along the path, and it ran out of steam when I decided it wasn’t worth the effort it would take.
But it was fun while it lasted!
