About

This Blog

Currently, this is the home base for a project to help great but under-appreciated blogs. I had an idea for how that could be done, and people liked it. After that, it took off.

Sooner or later, I’ll be moving that project to its own domain, and this site will continue on with other ideas for making stuff better. Beyond that, I write some other thoughts and a personal blog on occasion.

Chuck Westbrook

Thanks for asking. I’m a 24 year-old living in Atlanta. I am in the process of leaving my job to be full-time independent. I’m not very good at spelling, so I married a wonderful English teacher to help edit my posts. If she’s mad at me, she lets me publish them before pointing out the mistakes.

I’m good at helping people, brainstorming, and communicating simply and clearly. I’m not a huge fan of the words “coaching” or “consulting” to describe what I do, but you wouldn’t be wrong if that’s how you described what I do.

I read everything anyone sends me, and I respond to most of it. So don’t hesitate if there’s something you’d like to ask or share. When I’m excited about something, I may talk too much about it. If I get excited about you or your ideas, I’ll talk about you, probably a lot.

A Little Experiment

Update as of 3.10.2009: I still think this is interesting and potentially informative for people trying to get a feel for who I am, so I’ll leave it up for the time being.

I think everyone should have a personal word cloud comprised of the things people say about them. This isn’t the best way to do that, but I’m going to try to put one here. Once you get to know me, leave a short comment below describing me, and I’ll use those words to make a visual. It’s an experiment.

Yeah, I’m not the first person to suggest “generous,” and I’m not surprised!

Also: insightful, sharp, critical-yet-kind, humble, an idea-generator, and a doer.

Oh, you’re in Atlanta! I have a big Atlanta post coming up (soon, but not right this minute). Until then, there is a sort of book review about another Atlanta writer on my site now: http://www.fromoutoftheblue.com/blogs/peter/my-jesus-year-1

Enjoy and Thanks.

I totally thought you would be a stodgy, middle-aged academic sort, but you’re young!

I’m going to have to reprocess my thoughts about you.
